Global Weak Solutions of Non-isothermal Front Propagation Problem

We show the global existence of weak solutions for a free-boundary problem arising in the non-isothermal crystallization of polymers. In particular, the free interface is shown to be of codimension one for every time t in two space dimensions; Hölder continuity of the temperature u is proven.

Simultaneous Solutions of the Weak Dirichlet Problem

The main aim of this paper is a geometrical approach to simultaneous solutions of the abstract weak Dirichlet problem. We answer partially a question from the paper 2] where a similar problem was discussed from a potential-theoretical point of view for the case of function spaces consisting of harmonic functions.

Well-dispersed subsets of non-dominated solutions for MOMILP ‎problem

This paper uses the weighted L$_1-$norm to propose an algorithm for finding a well-dispersed subset of non-dominated solutions of multiple objective mixed integer linear programming problem. When all variables are integer it finds the whole set of efficient solutions. In each iteration of the proposed method only a mixed integer linear programming problem is solved and its optimal solutions gen...

Global-in-time solutions for the isothermal Matovich-Pearson equations

In this paper we study the Matovich-Pearson equations describing the process of glass fiber drawing. These equations may be viewed as a 1D-reduction of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations including free boundary, valid for the drawing of a long and thin glass fiber. We concentrate on the isothermal case without surface tension. Then the ∗The work of E.F. was supported by Grant 201/09/091...

A Moving-boundary Problem for Concrete Carbonation: Global Existence and Uniqueness of Weak Solutions∗

This paper deals with a one-dimensional coupled system of semi-linear parabolic equations with a kinetic condition on the moving boundary. The latter furnishes the driving force for the moving boundary. The main results are a (global) existenceand uniqueness theorem, and non-trivial lower and upper estimates for the velocity of the moving boundary. The system under consideration is modelled on ...
